Is there really such a thing as a born again virgin? This question is a legitimate question that deserves an answer. It may sound ridiculous to some, but if you’re continuing to read then you would like clarity on this.
Honestly, if someone does ask you if you’re a virgin, it’s 100% okay to say to them, “None of your business.” But, what do you tell yourself?
But, spiritually it is 100% possible to start over again.
If you have the sincere desire to start over and commit to not having sex any longer, is it truly possible to be a virgin again? It’s interesting because you’re are not the first person to ask that question. We can find a man in the book of John asking Jesus a very similar question.
“How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” John 3:4
Jesus replies to that man breaking down that yes it is impossible for you to be born again naturally, but spiritually it is 100% possible to be born again. You can only lose your physical virginity one time. Everything that comes along with that moment will still be there. The physical and emotional consequences are real.
But, spiritually it is 100% possible to start over again.
When you ask God to forgive you and submit your past actions into His hands, it doesn’t destroy it, but it does transform it. God’s forgiveness is like none other and He chooses to forget by not allowing your past to determine your future.
It doesn’t matter how you feel once you ask God to forgive you. He doesn’t ask any questions or think twice about it. It is finished. Even though you may not be a virgin in the physical, you are in the spiritual. You are 100% a virgin in His eyes. This is the power of forgiveness.
This may not have a impact on the memory of your past, but it without a doubt has an impact on your future with God. And, that is all that matters. What you have to tackle next is the shame and guilt that may come along with how you feel about your actions.
I have a verse just for that feeling, so you can shut the voice of guilt up right now. Psalm 32:5, “Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LLord. And you forgave the guilt of my sin”
Isaiah 34:5, “Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. When Christ died on the cross it was to conquer death, hell, and the grave. He gave us access to eternal life.
Don’t allow the things of your past to overpower that truth right there. Your future is so much brighter than your past. You’re a born again virgin and that is all that matters to God. And, what matters to God is all that matters.
