Director Spike Lee joined forces with New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu to launch “Flip the Script,” a public awareness campaign designed to curb incidents of black on black crime in the city. The campaign uses television, radio, print, outdoor ads and digital components targeting messages toward young black men across New Orleans in the hope of changing the attitudes and perceptions of young men by changing negative headlines into positive ones. “The numbers don’t lie — young black men are killing each other at an alarming rate, and this is a bold attempt to try and spotlight this issue,” said Lee.
