Jada Pinkett-Smith wished hubby Will Smith a happy Valentine’s Day by devoting her new song, Burn, to him. Along with the song, which Jada released on her Facebook page, she posted a note to her husband of 14 years which ended with the phrase: “We were born to be loved and to love…fiercely. Will, I love you. Happy Valentine’s Day. This is for you.” No telling whether Jada’s words of endearment will do anything to finally put those divorce rumors to rest. {Huffington Post}
Despite being an Oscar award-winning actor, Denzel Washington says his four children aren’t overly impressed by his accomplishments. The actor says that his children express feeling the pressure to achieve more from one another, his oldest is son is a pro-football player and oldest daughter a Yale graduate, than they do from dear-old dad and that the family lives a normal life. “I’m not legendary in my house,” he says. “I still put the trash out.” {AZ Central}
Actress Holly Robinson Peete and husband former NFL player Rodney Peete celebrated 17 years of marriage by renewing their vows February on February 13. The couple’s four children were also a part of the ceremony which took place on top of the Empire State Building. Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker spilled the secrets to their happy marriage to Essence magazine. The couple has been married for seven years and has two children. Kodjoe said that for men, the secret to keeping your wife happy is to be more present. “When the wife walks in, it should be an event. You have to look up, you have to close the computer, and you have to say, hey baby, wow!” Parker cosigned his sentiments saying: “When he does it, I feel like a million bucks,” she says. “Then I’m nice all day. After hosting the Academy Awards in 2005, Chris Rock is finally once again being invited back as a presenter. Chris left a few guests feeling salty during his previous Oscar-hosting gig when he joked that Hollywood only really had a handful of true movie stars and that “The rest are just popular people,” singling out actors Tobey Maguire and Jude Law.
