I mentioned before that Ronnie and I are members of the Pampers Baby Board and we’re excited to let you know that the new Pampers Hello World Baby Memories App is available now for free download on iTunes for your iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone. If you don’t have one of these devices don’t worry because we’ve partnered with Pampers to give away one (1) iPod Touch to a lucky winner.
Features on the new Hello World app include:
- Making Memories– a one-touch sharing capability that allows you to take photo and videos, then quickly upload them to Facebook, Flickr, Twitter or Youtube at the touch of a button.
- Albums– Allows you to conveniently organize and arrange, by category, your family’s photos directly on your ipad, itouch or iphone device.
- Growing Baby– Allows you to take daily photos of your baby then pulls them all together in a time-lapse video so you can see how quickly your baby is growing right before your eyes! The best part is you can use this feature to create your own personal parenthood story– start with the baby bump, then the growth of your baby’s facial features, hands, feet, first tooth, etc. Growing Baby reveals in a remarkable way how precious babyhood really is…not that we need an app for that, but it’s still amazing to see!
The Hello World Baby Memories app is part of a series of apps called Pampers Hello Parenting Apps which also includes the Hello Baby Pregnancy Calendar
The Pampers Hello Baby Pregnancy Calendar allows you to explore life-sized images (iPad only; images in iPhone and iTouch are not life-sized) of a baby in the womb from week 4 up to week 40. Learn about the stages of pregnancy and make small discovers about a baby’s development. Did you know that a baby could respond to sounds by week 28? The “womb translator” feature allows you to record your voice, then play it back or share it with friends in the tone that your baby hears it.
Disclosure: Lamar and Ronnie Tyler are “Pampers Baby Board” members and this item was provided for giveaway by Pampers.

I would give it to my cousin who is expecting. She is young and is scared right now. And I think this would be a good tool in letting her see what to expect in the up coming months. I have a 8 month old. So I already knew how the baby would look at certain points in my pregnancy. What I was feeling why u got sick from having previously had children. But reading about it and seeing photos and knowing that they explain it is much better. So I would be giving it to someone who right now needs it and needs the knowledge.

I would use it to do everything I possible could with it – music, apps to make my life easier, take & keep pictures of my many nieces and nephews, etc. Also, my husband & I are trying to have a baby, so the Hello World app would come in handy when I do become pregnant.

I’d use a new iPod Touch to ramp up my pictures and aps; right now, my VERY old school iPod doesn’t have nearly the capabilities of the newer versions, and downloading cool aps onto it isn’t really an option. Great giveaway—and I wish that Pampers ap was around when my babies were younger!

I’d like to use the iPod to build a 3 different playlists: one to my daughter for her resilient spirit, one for my future husband to show God’s love towards him, and the last for my future children about how bright and melodic their future will be!

Two Words: Face Time! I would use it to keep in touch with long distance relatives and as a tool to allow those family members to continue watching their granddaughters (or nieces, or cousins, or…) grow up. Not to mention the cool apps, games, and loads of music I’d have fingertip access to.

I would use the cool edcuational apps to help homeschool my toddlers. Also my children only know of Steve Jobs and his genius through what they read as we have not been able to afford to purchase one. I would like for them to be able to experience his genius and know just how iconic he was.

First of all it is great to see a site like this. The media portrays black families in such a negative light when there are so many happy well adjusted black families living in the US. If I won an ipod touch, I would use it for games, checking out the web and using it to entertain my kids when we are away from home. I am still not ready to get any kind of smartphone but love apple and its apps so prefer an ipod touch because I rarely use the phone.
