Everything our kids do, up until the age of 3, is cute, and sweet, and oh so adorable. God planned it that way as a coping mechanism for us parents. Otherwise, we would totally be grossed out by our kids!!
So, up until our kids were 3, I was like:
“Oooh….there’s poop on my finger! But that’s OK because it’s sweet baby poop.”
“The baby just slobbered on my mouth. But that’s OK because it’s sweet baby juice.”
“Look, there’s a boogie ( notice boogers are named boogie when they are on babies) let me get it with my finger.”
But after they turn 4 years old, all of that stuff is just plain gross. Seriously, if I get a 4 year old’s poop on my finger, then I am chopping it off…lol!!
This is why I love the Clorox® Ick-tionary™…because it brings humor to all of the messes that parents face on a daily basis. Because at the of the day, we need to be able to “roll with” life’s messy moments and find some humor in it. And It doesn’t hurt to be always prepared with the tools to handle those messes. My baby bags stayed stocked up baby wipes and hand sanitizer. And, my home and car stays stocked with Clorox®.
Here are 3 icky-situations that parents deal with at some point in time with their kids:
Poop-edo (aka Tubatanic) – baby poop in the bathtub.
Poop or Pee-pee in the bathtub! This is something that all parents have probably dealt with at one point or another.
Boogie on Down – removing your kid’s snot from a winter blanket.
As parents we are pretty much dealing with boogies and snot until the kids are old enough to clean their own noses.
Germs of Endearment – when your little loved one accidentally sneezes in your face and clothes.
Our youngest is 5 years old, and I am still yelling “cover your mouth!” all winter long.

This is hilarious! Well my 2 year old has gotten into the habit of thinking she needs to bring me her boogies…in her hands! Thankfully I haven’t dealt with poop in the bathtub — ICK!!
