This is a plea to all parents: Please clean up your Slobby Knobbies! And, don’t deny that you have them. Because if you have kids living in your home, then chances are you have Slobby Knobbies all throughout your house. And the last thing you want is to have your house guests discover a Slobby Knobby. Or even worse, get sick from a Slobby Knobby.
Let me back up a minute and tell you what it is. The Clorox® Ick-tionary, www.icktionary.com, (my go to place for all things ICK related) defines a Slobby Knobby as – the refrigerator handle that is full of grease and other stuff (with the two most important words being other stuff – i.e germs, snot, syrup, jelly, ink…..)
And, I maintain that all of the door knobs and light switches can be classified as Slobby Knobbies in a house with kids. Anything that those sticky, snotty, slimly (but sweet) little fingers can reach has a potential to become a Slobby Knobby.
And with the everyday hustle and bustle of life, it’s hard to get the basic chores done, let alone remembering to wipe down the knobs and switches in your home. But it is very important to clean them frequently, especially in cold and flu season.
Do me favor, take a moment to look around at your knobs and switches. Enough said….I know you found at least one Slobby Knobby. But it’s nothing a few minutes and a Clorox Disinfecting Wipe can’t handle.
Do me another favor and check out the Clorox Ick-tionary, a wiki for everyday ick – that will make you laugh, commiserate, and conquer the icky situations that everyone goes through. Then let me know below which terms you can relate to.Th
