We were so pleased to be invited to the screening of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 hosted by none other than Chef G. Garvin! My daughter was a huge fan of the first movie and couldn’t wait. She had no idea who Chef Garvin was but I did and it was very nice to get to meet one of my absolute favorite TV chefs live and in person!
Upon entering the beautiful Cine Bistro theater here in Atlanta, we were immediately greeted by Chef Garvin. He didn’t just host! He greeted and even seated people in the theater! A lot of times when you run into celebrities, even at events that they are hosting you get snobbish or rude behavior, not so with Mr. Garvin. It was like going to the movies with family.
Once seated we were treated to an amazing 3D movie. Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 was everything that first the first movie was and more! Beautiful and bold animations, interesting characters and in 3D. The movie had something for young and old. As an adult watching, I caught myself laughing at things that my daughter didn’t get and that was great!. Will not spoil it for anyone but it was nice to see Terry Crews “Mr.T” like character (Earl Devereaux) return for this sequel.
If you are looking for a nice movie that the whole family can view this is it. Oh and please don’t go on an empty stomach! For some reason this movie made me hungry!
G. Garvin
My admiration for Chef G. Garvin began back when he was hosting Turn Up The Heat for TVOne. He has always had great flair and a wonderful way of bringing each recipe to life. He does the same thing on his show Road Trip with G Garvin on The Cooking Channel. When I asked him what he is looking forward to with this season of his show he said that he just wants to keep bringing us great food from great people and keep it moving. And keep it moving he did as he took photos with and thanked each guest for coming out to check out Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 (coming soon to a theater near you!). Thank you G. Garvin for being such a gracious host!
