In a small study of college-aged men, these males were more likely to rate profiles higher if the females were of their same race. Yet, those who claim not to hold a racial bias in regards to their dating preference were more likely to show proclivity toward a race.
It’s interesting to note that both black men and white men, who claimed race wasn’t a factor, were more likely to rate white women’s profiles higher than that of black women. In other studies, black female profiles tended to receive fewer responses than women in other races.
