An interview with slain teen Trayvon Martin’s parents aired today on Anderson Cooper’s talk show. Tracy Martin, Sybrina Fulton and their lawyer appeared to discuss the case, how they have dealt with this ordeal and what they plan to do to get justice for their son.

On this afternoon’s episode of “Anderson,” the parents of Trayvon Martin will speak out about the killing of their high school son. We have purposely not speculated on the situation as there are very few facts, but plenty of unproven accusations. Whether readers agree or not, we choose not to gossip about non-Hollywood matters (which has been our policy for the 7 years we have been here) where gossip could do more harm to the case then good.
With a formal in-depth sit-down from his parents, we can now get a better idea of the horrible situation at hand.
Trayvon was fatally shot February 26, 2012 while walking to the house of his father’s fiancee in Sanford, Florida, after a trip to a convenience store. George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch leader, said he shot the teen in self-defense. Trayvon reportedly was wearing a hoodie & carrying a bag of Skittles.
Zimmerman has not been arrested or charged. A police report describes him as a white male; his family says he is Hispanic.
As for the pending issues: There are some reports stating Zimmerman was actually not a member of Neighborhood watch, some reports say the 8 released 9-1-1 calls were edited/scrubbed to help Zimmerman, and some reports sate that Zimmerman is actually hiding out to avoid possible impending justice. Our nation is outraged at the Zimmerman seeming to equate hoodies and a certain “look” of a person as “trouble.” There have been no explanations as to what was allegedly done to invoke “self defense” from Zimmerman.

A white person did not shoot the boy. The shooter was Hispanic.
If the victim had been White, – it would not have made the national news.

he is half spanish or adopted…was only around white people…he might as well be 100% white people of color who around more whites then minorities tend o forget who they are(tiger woods)….look at hitler his mom was jewish, on the tyra show a couple of years ago she had a dark skin girl who said she was white and put up the confederate flag and dressed up like the kkk,,,its on youtube look it up….in cases like this they’re skin may say one thing but inside they are white

Excuse me, Hispanic is not a race, I believe it is on the census form. Also maybe blacks are responsible for more violent crime than other races, you could look it up in the crime statistics
Hispanic is NOT a race. What planet do you live on? White victims of crime are featured in the media wayyyy more often than victims of color. Missing women/children of color barely get any attention. And what happens all the time? You mean White people are murdered and the killers go free all the time. Yeah right!
Zimmerman does not sound like a Hispanic name to me!!! But even if he is Hispanic he didnt have to killed their child!!!
What difference does Zimmerman’s race or ethnicity make? While I will refrain from formin’ a final opinion until all the evidence is presented by the prosecution that I hope will take place and the defense, it appears that Mr. Zimmerman both provoked the confrontation and ignored the parameters of the Stand Your Ground law that was passed in Florida. Wrong is wrong, regardless of race.
People are so ignorant. Hispanic is NOT a race. Cameron Diaz is Hispanic and Christina Aguilera is half hispanic are you telling me they aren’t White? Jessica Alba and Christina Milian are both Hispanic would you describe them as White? LaLa Anthony is Hispanic but she is Black.
