If you’ve been a fan of BMWK for a while, then you know one of our favorite singing groups is Kindred the Family Soul. When Ronnie and I met ,the only thing we had in common when it came to musical tastes was their Surrender to Love CD.

A few years ago BMWK was the exclusive home for their family-based reality series, Six Is It. And Fatin and Aja even starred in our last film Still Standing to discuss how they overcame the naysayers who didn’t support their marriage early on. They also open the film singing one of my favorite songs, Sticking With You.

Recently the group released a new album titled A Couple Friends and we love it! My favorite tracks are the title song that features Valerie Simpson (grown folks soul) and the last track on the album What I’ve Learned.

To support the new album the duo has also released a short film by the same name. Make sure you take a moment to watch it below. It runs a little over 20 minutes and shares stories of love weaved together with music from the new album. I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.
