Are you considering surprising your family with a fabulous family vacation or giving your spouse that dream cruise they’ve been hinting at for years? Before you book that cruise or plan that fabulous weekend getaway to Florida, check out our travel info.
Despite recent issues, cruises are still a very popular way to vacation for families, couples and single travelers. The most popular season to cruise is of course summer, it is the peak-demand season! If you have a particular cruise line you like or want to experience, book early because some cruise lines limit the number of children per sailing. Have your heart set on a Caribbean cruise? The cheapest time to take a Caribbean cruise is September through early January. Keep in mind that the Fall season is also ‘hurricane season’ (through November) which means that a cruise could be cancelled if a serious storm begins to brew. If you are going to purchase a cruise during this season, I suggest that you also purchase ‘trip/cruise insurance’ so that you are fully protected and can get a refund if necessary. Avoid tropical storms all together and cruise in the Spring.
If you don’t want to take a cruise and are thinking of a vacation in sunny Florida, we have a few things you should consider. High season is considered winter months from mid-December to mid-April. In recent years, high season has continued into Spring. High season equals crowds, long lines, busy theme parks and crowded malls for Moms shopping trips (lol). When visiting Florida, weather also has to be strongly considered. May to September is Florida’s summer and the hottest months in any city in the country. You are guaranteed to experience very hot temperatures, high humidity and severe thunderstorms. The months of June through November are also considered Florida’s hurricane season. Protect your purchase with trip insurance if you are set on visiting during these months. The ideal times to visit Florida are the months of September – November, the weather has cooled down and theme park lines are generally a lot shorter. Single travelers don’t believe the hype, Miami over the Memorial Day weekend is a nightmare…Don’t do it! LOL
It’s important to keep these things in mind when planning vacations along with your family’s schedule. I think it’s very important to vacation! Everyone in the family needs time away from the daily grind to regroup and recharge their batteries.
Be Happy. Be Fabulous. Be Well Traveled.

The end of April and beginning of May is a great time to go there.
Port Canaveral in Florida is the take off point for many cruises into the Caribbean.
