The holiday season is in full swing.  We’ve all recuperated from our fabulous Thanksgiving dinners and being up all night and day shopping on Friday.  You’ve probably already decided where Christmas dinner will be and what time you’ll surprise the kids with their gifts. Have you decided how the kids will spend their holiday break?  After dinner at Grandma’s house and the after Christmas shopping, you have to squeeze in some holiday family fun.

Here are a few of our favorite holiday attractions:

• “Circle of Lights” at Monument Circle in Indianapolis. • Gaylord Hotels ICE! Attractions.  The ‘ICE!’ holiday attractions are a family favorite each year.  The themed attractions are completely made of sculpted colorful ice maintained at a chilly 9 degrees.  Each of the four Gaylord Hotels features a themed ICE! attraction.  This year Gaylord National and Gaylord Texan are featuring the “Frosty the Snowman” theme.  Gaylord Orlando will feature the “Merry Madagascar” holiday theme.  The flagship Gaylord Opryland’s holiday theme will be the popular “Twas the Night before Christmas.”   For tickets and times, please visit gaylordhotels.com. ICE! • Six Flags Fiesta Texas! • Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Do something totally different this holiday and create your own family traditions by celebrating the season at Disney World.  Disney World is a fun place to visit all year, but especially during the holidays.  Mickey and his friends take over on select nights with their holiday parade of characters along with an impressive holiday fireworks show and scheduled snowfall.  Santa Claus even makes a special appearance.  This holiday event runs now thru 12/19/14 (on select nights).  Click here for times and ticket information.
