You may know him as Jason Pitts on BET’s The Game, but actor Coby Bell is so much more than a retired football player and actor who even has his own hit dance called the Pitsy Shuffle. Somehow, on top of all this, he’s balancing family life in Los Angeles with his wife and two sets of twins, filming The Game in Atlanta, and attending to his new role on USA’s Burn Notice in Miami. How Coby Bell Keeps up with His Family Duties
It’s safe to say his frequent flier miles are adding up, but somehow, this family man is holding it together. He ensures he’s not away from his wife and kids for more than 5 days at a time, flying back to his home in Los Angeles every weekend. This is how he takes care of all his responsibilities and holds it all together.
On Having Two TV Shows
“It’s challenging, but it’s the best thing in the world. The traveling, the long hours, and everything I do are for my kids. But, when I got these jobs out of town, I said the only way I can do this is if I go home every weekend. There’s no way I can go more than five days without seeing them or being with them.”
His Favorite Thing to Do with His Kids
“I guess it’s just being with them – whatever it is they’re doing or whatever it is they want to do you know, taking them to volleyball, piano, or dance, or picking them up from pre-school, just all that day-to-day stuff. What’s really cool is we just have fun as a family. We really enjoy just hanging out together, and every Sunday before I have to go back to the airport, my wife gets to sleep in, and I take the kids to Long Beach to this restaurant we’ve been going to for the past two years. And, every time they have our table ready for us, it’s like this nice little tradition we got going.”

It’s so wonderful he is keeping his family first even though his acting career is taking off and extremely busy. He’s good in both shows. And his wife is to be commended for supporting him and working together to keep their family first.
