Ahhhhh….yes! The wait is over. Reality TV with a sizable dosage of drama, mostly happy endings and always mouth-watering culinary creations. BMWK is happy to present our Chef Roble and Co. review. This is TV you can watch with your kids and not witness any weaves being pulled or drinks being thrown (or so we hope!) Just a fresh-faced celebrity chef (who happens to run his own Brooklyn-based catering company) named Roblé Ali! He and his crew (made up of his sister/event designer Jasmine, his event director Artie and an entire team of talented chefs) are back for season two on Bravo – and I couldn’t be happier!
This young artisan chef/skater/back-packer dishes out the heat and the real deal when it comes to his passion. We saw this early on in the first episode of the season as he has a heated confrontation with his pastry chef, Kiku. As usual, Roblé has no problem reminding everybody “Who’s Boss”, and swiftly moving past his issues to take care of the task at hand and that is–making the magic happen.
I particularly enjoyed last night’s episode because we got a chance to see another familiar face from reality TV. Chef Roblé’s first client of the season was none other than, Phaedra Parks. Most of us know Phaedra from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Myself being a foodie AND from the South, they KILLED the Southern-themed tea and everything on the menu looked AMAZING!!! From Collard Greens Quiche to Ambrosia made with coconut foam…It was ingenious and of course was flawless in presentation.
Last night, they wasted no time giving us a sneak peek into Roblé’s love life, as they probed and joked about him being single and back on the market after a breakup with his long-term girlfriend. I hope we get to see more of this side of Roblé. I absolutely loved the teaser showing him kissing someone who looked like Dan, his new female assistant. I see they are already creating a great balance for the show…Great job Bravo!
If you’re like me and and follow Roblé on social media, you know that he may be single, but he’s definitely not boring. He seems like a really great guy that’s loving life and living his dream. I’m thankful to have something I can actually watch with my kids instead of sneaking another reality guilty pleasure (Don’t let me down, Bravo). You can catch Chef Roblé and Co. Bravo on Wednesdays at 10/9pm CST.
