In case you missed it, the 2016 Emmys nominee list was a great display of diversity, especially compared to the OscarSoWhite backlash from earlier this year. But there were way more highlights from the night, so here’s a few of our best moments:
Winners Circle
- Congrats to Courtney B Vance for winning best lead actor in a limited series or movie for his role as Johnnie Cochran in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
- Vance’s co-star, Sterling K. Brown also won for his role as Chris Darden.
- Regina King for best supporting actress in a limited series or movie for American Crime
- The Key and Peele show won for best variety sketch series.
Best Moments
Courtney B Vance’s was sure to give his leading lady a shout-out in his speech. Too cute.
