Actor Omar Epps and his wife Keisha (formerly of the group Total) hit the red carpet in Los Angeles this week for the premiere of the new film “You, Me & The Circus. The film, which Omar Epps produced, “˜is a love story about four people falling in and out of love during an afternoon of intense conversation, soul searching, and new discoveries’. Actress Meagan Good and husband Devon Franklin also attended the premiere. Necole Bitchie  

Rumor has it that Beyonce will have a surprise performance at this weekend’s Made in America music festival headed by her hubby Jay-Z. The festival, which takes place in Pennsylvania on September 1 and 2, features artists like Run DMC, Pearl Jam, Rita Ora and Jay-Z. Director Ron Howard is filming the festival and says the result won’t be a concert film, but “a reflection of the fabric of what it means to be Made in America – what the festival represents, why Jay is doing it and how he relates to each artist.” Ace Showbiz

Comedian Chris Rock weighed in on being a working father in an interview this month with NPR’s Fresh Air. He says that being heavily involved in his kids lives is something he learned from his father “by osmosis.” He also doesn’t believe that parenting is a sacrifice. “‘Sacrifice’ infers that there was something better to do than being with your children,” he says,””... Being with my kids is the best, most fun thing, it’s a privilege. It’s not something I call a sacrifice.” NPR  

Instead of selling pics of their adorable twins, Moroccan and Monroe, to tabloids, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are giving away photos of “Dem Babies” on their website. Publications, however, can still run the kids pics by buying the photos from dembabies.com, where proceeds go to support the Fresh Air Fund’s Camp Mariah.
