Things just keep getting better for The Game star Tia Mowry. In addition to shooting the second season of her hit reality show, Tia and Tamera, the new mom will play the lead role in Mistletones, a new ABC Family movie. Tia plays Holly, an aspiring singer, and stars alongside Tori Spelling in the film which begins shooting in two weeks. {Hollywood Reporter}
Celebs everywhere reacted with sadness to the death of television and music pioneer Don Cornelius this week. Actress Holly Robinson Peete tweeted: “Don was a friend, supporter, neighbor a pioneer. We will miss you … Rest With Angels Don. Prayers for son Tony and entire family,” while Mariah Carey posted: “R.I.P. Mr. Don Cornelius. His historic contribution to our lives will never be forgotten.” VH1 will re-air the documentary, Soul Train: The Hippest Trip in America, tonight at 10 p.m EST.
Cedric the Entertainer, Mike Epps, and Chris Rock are among many comedians and celebs who will come together to honor the life and comedy of the late Bernie Mac in the documentary, I Ain’t Scared Of You: A Tribute To Bernie Mac on Comedy Central. Bernie’s widow, Rhonda McCullough, and his daughter, Je’Niece McCullough, played a large role in the development of the show. Je’Niece conducted many of the shows interviews while Rhonda spoke extensively about the love she and her husband shared. The show airs Sunday, February 19 at 10 pm EST.
Will Smith and son Jaden are teaming up again on screen. The pair will begin shooting the film tentatively titled 1000AE, a sci-fi adventure flick by M. Night Shyamalan. The film starts shooting next week and is said to have a release date of 2013. {Black Celeb Kids}
