Some days are just hard. You and your husband don’t see eye to eye on breakfast. Your kids want to wear their torn, grease-stained shirt to school…again. The car won’t start and when it finally does, traffic is backed up for miles and you are 3 minutes away from work. Some days are just bad. On those days, God helps me make it through with a scripture that’s right on time. If you are having one of those days, here are some scriptures to pull you through the madness.
Joy
Isaiah 12: 6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.
Romans15:13 May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 35:10 Those the LORD has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
Peace
Psalm 4:8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.
Psalm 119:165 Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
Strength
Exodus 15:2 The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
Psalm 29:11 The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Love
Psalm 143:8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.
Isaiah 54:10 Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Faith
Matthew 21:21 Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.
1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
Hebrews 4:14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.
