Have an outstanding bill with your child’s parent and Child Support Services? As if simply providing for your children wasn’t enough of a reason to stay on top of your monthly payments, now there is the possibility that you will be banned from baby-making! As reported by Clutch Magazine, Asim Taylor an Ohio father of four with an outstanding balance of $97,000 was ordered by a judge to “stop procreating.” In addition to being on probation for five years due to all the back pay that he owes, “If Taylor impregnates another woman within this time period he could face a year in jail.”
“Of course Taylor’s lawyer finds this unconstitutional. ‘The Supreme Court has ruled that this particular order is illegal,’ says Attorney Douglas Merrill. He says the judge’s ruling violates the father’s rights. Merrill plans on appealing the case on the grounds that it violates Taylor’s right to privacy, citing a previous Ohio Supreme Court decision.”
While some might praise the judge for his order others will argue that the order is unconstitutional. For more on this story visit Clutch.
BMWK — What do you think about the judge making such an order?

This is the root of the problem. Reproductive rights cannot be regulated…they already tried this with disabled populations and blacks back in the day (which was wrong) – even when the people involved should (clearly) not be procreating because they cannot properly provide or care for their offspring. Sad and selfish on the part of the “parent”.

I don’t see the harm here. Taxpayers have to foot the bill for people’s unbridled reproductive tendencies. In fact, it’s a shame all of these black kids are being born to people like this. Don’t have kids unless you can afford them. I’m paying for children I don’t have. Good for the judge.
