You couldn’t imagine how wonderful it would be for my daughters(2 and 3 years old ) to have the privilege of winning this beautiful Frog and Princess twin set. Unfortunately, we have yet to see the movie but look forward to seeing it. My girls watched the Trailer in amazement! I also love the fact that she is such a beautiful princess that happens to be of color! It’s amazing how I happened to stumble here and notice this opportunity- I’ll keep my fingers crossed but please know that I certainly appreciate having a chance at winning even if I don’t. Thank you so much and have a Happy Holiday and a Wonderful New Year.

I, personally, loved the setting of the movie. Though the movie did not have the enchantment of Cinderella. I loved the realism and current feel of the movie…it was very relatable! The message was also very necessary in today’s age. And I was so happy that my daughters (ages 5 & 2) have a Beautiful Black Princess they can finally look up to. That bedding set would be very appreciated in my household!

Went to see the movie I loved it more than the kids I took. My daughter would love to have that on her bed. The movie teaches young girls to have a dream and work hard to achieve it.

I wish that every child could be award one of those blankets. Howevere I know only one can win. I think granddaughter should win because she love the commericals before the actual movie she knew the songs and she sang through her pertend microphone. I think it’s cute how excited she was to see the movie and she takes her kissing frogs everywhere she goes trying to get the doll and me some adult pajamas that’s bad the Tiana too. I guess their not making it fast enough. My granddaughter would make me the talk of the town. We Just LOVE Tiana!

I love the Idea of a adding a black princess to the disney collection. I think it makes a huge statement when it comes to racial barriers. They can be eleminated by exposing children to more than just one way of thinking. My daughter (5) looks at this movie in aww and says she can’t wait to see princess tiana on her shirt, lunch kit, and back pack right next to arial and cinderella!!!!
Nina says
We love the previews of the movie! My two year old jumps up & down whenever it comes on screaming, “I want to see that!!” I call her Princess and so she loves anything to do with princesses. I do plan to take her to see the movie the week after Christmas!!! Her grandma is actually buying a twin bed for Christmas!!!!

Though I support this movie and think Tiana is beautiful…it still bothers me that a black prince couldn’t “save the day” and sweep her off her feet. I’m just saying, just because Disney throws a bone, doesn’t mean everyone has to chew it. Jazmin had Aladdin…why couldn’t Tiana have Terrence? LOL…I’m serious though…it’s ok, I have my prince charming at home 🙂

It is a wonderful thing to finally have our Princess. Just like our President. Someone of color. Fo years as a child of the 50’s I was barbarded with blonde hair and blur eyes. So much to the point that I began to color the dolls with brown crayon. Today it is nice to finally have diversity in the imaginary world. Being a Princess with out selling yourself short. Being a Princess that has to work to get what you want and having a Frog that is there for you is wonderfu l. Having a family dynamic ( functional family) is wonderful I would love to win this for my friends youngest daughter. She has a great father not a missing father but someone who is there literally and figuritively. This would be a great gift for her.

I have seen The princess and the frog twice already and I absolutely love it.
Not only does it have a different twist to it and is very unique, the art in the movies is beautiful. Princess Tiana shows every little girl that a princess lives within us all,as long as love, forgiveness, comfort and hope shines through us each and everyday .

Hello I am writing this on behalf of a wonderful lady I have been blessed to meet. In the past couple of months she has revived herself enough to leave the women’s shelter she has been staying at with her 2 children. She is unemployed and just has enough to barely pay rent and provide clothes for her children. She told me how she was sobbing this holiday season because she feels like a bad mother because she cannot give her children the wants they desire. Right now she is concentrating on what her children need and unfortunately cannot afford presents such as what youre offering in your giveaway. She is unaware that I am writing this but she would be blessed to receive such a present for her children.

This year has been a great year. We have our first black President, which really impacted my 8 year son’s life. When he was learning his states and capitals, of course you learn about Presidents that come from different states, he asked why we never had a black President, then it happened! Now our first black Princess, which will impact my 3 year daughter’s life. I had decorated her room with the easy peel wall decors of all the other Disney Princesses, but going in her room from day to day wasn’t a happy place for me. Looking on the wall and seeing all those white faces, especailly Cinderella with her blue eyes and YELLOW hair just wasn’t happening for my husband and I. Needless to say we took it all down. Then months later this movie comes out. It is long over due, true, Disney could have done this years and years ago. But what a wonderful thing it is done now. I tore out a picture from the Ebony magazine about the movie and taped it on her wall, which is the only picture on her wall now! But winning this blanket would truly delight her, and show how that a brown girl can be a princess too! Thanks, I hope we win!

It would be a totally awesome gift. Can you believe you can barely find Tiana merchendise on the shelves? You can’t even find the dolls at the Disney store. Bet that was the last thing anyone thought would happen.

I am a member of Mocha Moms which is a support group for mothers of color who are at home with their children and all who support that vision. We have been in support of this movie and held Pink Carpet premier’s for the movie opening. It would be great for my daughter to have this set so she could wake up and go to sleep seeing that she is a princess all the time.

Congratulations to whom ever wins, I was getting stumped for Christmas gifts to give. I now got inspired. I will be buying the DVD to add to my collection when it comes out and still plan on taking some little girls to see it over the holiday break. I loved reading the comments and wish I could be a judge. I already picked my winner.
