A Florida lawmaker has plans to repeal an old law that makes cohabitation among unmarried couples a second degree misdemeanor.
As the law currently stands, being caught living together while unwed could land you a $500 fine or up to 60 days in jail.
What do you think about this
Briana Myricks says
That’s crazy (as in unbelievable). It happens now, and to charge someone with a misdemeanor because of their beliefs. Let people live how they want to live.

I can begin to say how stupid this who are you to tell ne1 how and with whom they can live with the only person can judge is GOD.

I say good. More states should have that law. There would be a lot less baby mommas out here and people would take moving in together a lot more serious. Of coarse indo think there should be some cusion time of a few months to experience living together before marriage.
Lee Mitchell says
Does this mean florida’s housing market would do better? Or would it just mean that there would be more female criminals in florida more than most other states? Along with a rise in homeless people who can’t afford to live without they’re significant other. Either way this is unjust, unfair and unpractical to think these officials get voted in by people who are living out of wedlock which is rediculous. Baby mammas come from unprotected sex not living together out of wedlock. Any law enforced from the late 1800’s against the freedom of choosing their the persuit of happiness, without separating church and state sounds unconstitutional.
