Sex is an important part of marriage. I know that. My husband knows that. But yet and still, our sex life suffers from time to time because of crazy schedules, parenting responsibilities, and life in general. It takes work and a joint, concerted effort to keep the intimacy thriving in a marriage.
After giving Beyonce’s hot, new album a few good blasts through my speakers, I was left inspired to breathe life into the bedroom sheet situation in my home! Let me warn you: if you haven’t heard it yet, the album is sexually explicit and definitely NSFW (not safe for work)! But if you play some of these tracks on your way home from work, now that’s a different story! You’ll be ready to greet your boo at the door and make some magic happen.
The album celebrates the beauty that comes from being in love, completely secure and fully committed to the one you said, “I do” to. These are my notes – a playbook, if you will, on how to take your sex life from zero to sixty with BEYONCÉ (along with the song reference).
Make it wild and go all night (“Drunk In Love”)
Be adventurous (“Partition”)
Be confident and love your body (“Flawless”)
Invite your man to explore your body (“Rocket”)
Cook naked (“Jealous”)
Make it fun and build anticipation (“Blow”)
Say what you want (“No Angel”)
Stay committed and in love (“XO”)
Some couples may not need any urging or help in the love making department. But I was pleasantly surprised to see this more sultry side of Beyonce and am appreciative of the reminder that when put as a priority, marital sex can (and should) be fun, hot and steamy! I’m sure my husband will agree that the $16 I spent on this album was well worth every penny.
BMWK – do you every use music to spice up your bedroom situation? Have you heard Beyonce’s new album..what do you think of it?
I was completely on the shelf about this album, but I think I’m going to bite the bullet and get it. I was going to wait until the 20th to get the songs I wanted, but I don’t know if I can wait. It’s 3 days away.
I agree! 100%!!!! Just ask my husband! *wink*
Lol. I know that’s right!
So glad you understand where I’m coming from! This is less about Beyonce as it is about talking openly about sex in your marriage and making it a priority (a fun one!).
I am now listening to the cd I guess we will try it out tonite! **wink wink!
