Why’s the first $50 due so far in advance? Or is that normal? Mine was about 7 months ahead…
Those are great prices…! Thanks for sharing.

The 50 bucks is regular protocal. I went on a bus trip with a load full of church folks to go shopping in New York and our deposit was a hundred bucks and the rest due two days before the trip. This was October of 2005. A gf of mine called me this week and yet another bus is being filled as we speak headed for a New York shopping event. Shortly after my first and last visit every shop got raided and shop owners and vistors were all arrested. What could I buy in New York this trip if all the bootleg dvd’s and counterfiet purses, shoes and coats have shelves non stocked or in a police property room. lol. I did get a LV hand bag with the lock and key and serial number in the zipper in the purse and the sachet potato bag with the LV logal wrapped over it for only 35 bucks.( I had fun haggling the price) I think even they did not know that my handbag was the real thing. Retail price of my handbag is 500 bucks. I am not going to take this next invited trip, for fear of being arrested or being pissed off that my fav shops don’t have an array of products. To add, on a air plane they tell you that your seat can be used as a floatation device and point out the exit signs. On the bus they tell you that there are ppl on the streets in New York who have a job to get the shoppers to follow them and allow them to take you to the “bargain spots”. I have never been to so many ‘whole in the wall, hazard places in my life. If a fire would have broke out in any of the places that I visited we all would be dead. No exit signs, back doors or dust maids. LOL. I was just telling my kid last night that the place where I got my LV was inside another place. I am 5’10 and I went to this spot and had to literally fold myself in half to get in a door way to find my best buys. I have never really been one to shop, unless it’s food. I can say that I came home with my LV, two coach purses(black and brown) two coach brief cases (black and brown) perfume, electronic belt buckles for the kids, DVDs ,CDs and the experience to say ” I got out of the house for the weekend”. Yes it was fun and scary and I now know how stupid it was. I got everyone a “I love New York tee shirt, some with the Statue of Libery, a heart or the apple. I really went to New York to see “Ground Zero”. Seeing that was worth the bus ride. I cried took pics and no real person can’t help but to get emotional. I can now say I did that, done that and I got to eat at a soul food resturant and visit and got cheese cake at the Cheese Cake Factory. I am not use to coming out of a stall in the restroom and having someone pass you a towel and if you need a squirt of perfume or a mint it is right there if you have a tip. I am use to dining at what I consider expensive resturants where I live and we don’t have hand towel woman in the bathroom. LOL. Sorry, on some posts if I see only one comment, I respond and write a book. Now back to the cruise post. I can’t see myself going on one. How many ppl are still missing, did they fall over? How many ppl get sick because germs, bad ventalitation, ppl who don’t know that it’s ok to wash your hands, ppl who really do go crazy because they forgot they don’t like small enclosed spaces. Maybe I watch too much tv and back in the day “The Love Boat” cabins were not tall enough and very small. Unless you were “Doc, Julie , Cap Stubing or The Bartender”, Even the “Gofer” who is now a politicain had a small cabin vs. the celebs on the show who had a fling got bigger suite/cabins. I am done veinting and it does warm me up. Hot tea helps too. I am waiting for spring to get here. It is another cold day here in the Midwest.

I am so glad I found this site what a wonderful website to have. I saw the info about the cruise and got so excited. I just called my husband who is away on a tour for work and left him all the information on his cell, then I called my friends to see if they would be interested in going as well. For the price you cannot beat it and as far as the deposit, it’s really cheap sometimes they ask for $100.00 per person.

Thanks for the info, I’m surprised by how reasonable the deposit is, cruises seem to be much more affordable now. Even some of the prices I looked at for celebrity cruise lines are really good value for money. I just can’t decide on which part of the world I would like to explore the most.
