“There’s more to it. And even less of it!”
If you missed the Apple special event on Wednesday to unveil its newest product, you must have been on vacation. Steve Jobs and company introduced the newest member of the family, the iPad 2. With a new sleeker, thinner, lighter design, Jobs predicts that 2011 will be “the year of the iPad2.”
Every year Apple dominates the electronics market in June and December with a revolutionary new product. First there was the iPod, then the iPhone and last year, the iPad introduced the world to the tablet PC. Travelers everywhere purchased 15 million iPads.
Savvy BMWK travelers will not be disappointed with the new iPad 2 model. The all new design boasts 10 hour battery life, 2 cameras for Face Time video calling, HD video recording capability and 9.7 inch screen for displaying your photos, movies, games and apps in vibrant HD color.
The iPad2 is perfect for the savvy business traveler and the family on holiday. It’s 33% thinner, 15% lighter in weight and graphics are 9 times faster making games appear more realistic. You can do everything on this little gem. The revolutionary A5 dual core chip means you can surf the web with superfast speeds, your favorite travel apps (like Flight Tracker) will load even faster, and the kids can watch their favorite movies in high definition.
The accessories are also revolutionary this time around. The smart cover uses hidden magnets to attach to the unit and does not add any additional weight or bulkiness. The smart cover (available in 10 beautiful colors) protects the iPad2 while instantly putting it to sleep or turning it on when removing the cover. The smart cover also doubles as a stand for moving watching, game playing or web surfing. The smart cover is perfect for those pesky airport checkpoints that demand you turn your computer on to prove that it is a computer.
Every iPad2 features 802.11n wireless technology for super fast Wi-Fi internet connections. Wi-Fi and 3G models of the iPad2 are available on AT&T or the Verizon networks. The iPad2 will start shipping on Friday 3/11/2011 and prices start at $499. Pre-order yours today! (3G service available at additional costs)
For more information, please visit www.apple.com or visit your neighborhood Apple store, AT&T authorized retailer or Verizon store. Order online and receive complimentary engraving (from a selection of pre-determined phrases).
We love the iPad2 for everyday computer needs and the entire family’s travel needs. Experts says that elementary school children’s math and reading scores increased 50% when they used an iPad everyday in school. So, in addition to being a great travel computer/accessory it proves to be a great teacher’s assistant.
Save one for me!
