Haile Thomas is a testament to the fact that you don’t have to wait until you are an adult to pursue your passion. At age 12 this chef is preparing dishes that adults are raving about. Most recently she prepared a dish for the First Lady as a part of the Kids’ State Dinner. But The First Lady isn’t the only one who has enjoyed a dish by Haile Thomas, who according to theGrio, has “hobnobbed with the likes of Tom Colicchio, Alice Waters and even Bill Clinton.”
According to Haile, who appeared on the TODAY show, she has been cooking since she was five, her interest “piqued by watching food documentaries.” Today, Hallie hosts an online show, Kids Can Cook, a show were she helps other children see that they have the ability to make nutritious meals all on their own.
With a desire to help fight child obesity Haile Thomas is doing things that people two and three times her age dream about. She is an example for children everywhere. You are never too young to start making your dreams a reality. Take a look at the video:
