We’re so excited to share the video below with you. A few years back Ronnie and I realized that we’ve really found our life’s purpose through creating this site. The progression of that has gone from solely impacting marriages to now being able to take on larger tasks that also impact the community in other ways.
Yesterday we conducted an interview with Kia Morgan Smith who took it upon her self to create the Atlanta Diaper Relief after seeing the need in her local community. Atlanta Diaper Relief is the FIRST diaper bank in the metro Atlanta area solely dedicated to diaper distribution only. After meeting Kia through Facebook we were moved to assist her in her efforts.
View the video below to learn more about Atlanta Diaper Relief and to watch us pull off a huge surprise Oprah style!
Now wasn’t that video amazing? What you didn’t see was how truly grateful Kia was for the donation. We had to take a cry break for her and she later told me that she called at least 40 people on her way back home LOL. Kia also shared with me that this gift will help her get to the next level in her giving and the partnerships that she’s able to make with local daycare centers. In the last 24 hours she has already been able to begin talks with a new facility that she will provide diapers to as a direct result of this gift!
We are true believers that you are blessed in order to be a blessing and are excited that we were able to find an excellent opportunity that allowed us to give.
Major thanks to the Pampers Baby Board for supplying the gift and just wait till you see the upcoming Pampers Baby Board Miracle Mission that we’re about to pull off. It’s going to knock your socks off!
Lastly, don’t forget that this gift was just the beginning of the ongoing support that Atlanta Diaper Relief will need. Please visit their website and consider making a donation of diapers, money or consider hosting a diaper drive on their behalf.
BMWK family, please leave Kia Morgan Smith a comment letting her know that you appreciate the work that she’s doing on behalf of our communities.
How truly wonderful!!
I can honestly say as a man, I never even considered this area of lack for impoverished families. Hats off to you Kia for putting yourself out there and serving those who are unable to currently serve themselves.
Keep being a blessing.
So beautiful! I’m so proud of BlackAndMarriedWithKids and Kia Morgan Smith for being difference makers in our communities—you all are AMAZING.
This is just so beautiful!!! And Kia is so deserving. Thank Pampers for making this a special moment for our city. And thanks to Ronnie and Lamar for bringing this issue to our attention. Hugs to you Kia!!! 🙂
When it comes to babies in Atlanta in need, Kia has them covered! Yes–that pun is intended–keep it up Kia!
That was very sweet. It’s allergies, the H20 on my cheeks now BTW.
Wow! So very awesome.
Wow! That was awesome! Kudos to Lamar and Ronnie for working with Pampers on that donation! And kudos to Kia for the amazing work she is doing for families in need of diapers! I feel like Trey said earlier. My allergies are kicking in off of this video! 😉
Wow!!! Truly blessed work…Y’all made me cry early in the day…
This is a wonderful example of the power of social media & passionate parents like Ronnie, Lamar and Kia.
I was thinking the same thing. This is the power of social media that is often ignored. If not for Facebook or GSMM we never would have connected wit Kia and her wonderful organization
Wow, that is really a true life example of using your platform to help serve others which I think is the best thing we can do with a platform anyway! Kudos! Well done!!!
Kia is wonderful!!! You are guys are fabulous for doing this. 🙂
Stacie thank you for creating the social media group that allowed us both to connect so you are indirectly involved in making this happen as well! 🙂
I had my make-up freshly done before clicking on this video…WHY? Now I am a crying mess. Thank you, Lamar and Ronnie, for all of the amazing work you do. You make is proud. Oh, and Ronnie “Oprah” Tyler, you’re a natural!
Thanks!!! This was actually a blessing to me to able to do this!!
Kia is an amazing person and she’s impacting so many people, both those in need and those who have no idea what it’s like to be in need, with Atlanta Diaper Relief. She’s opening the eyes of Atlantan’s to the reality that help is needed for babies and parents in our own city. Thank you Kia!
Thank you all so very much for your encouraging and uplifting words. I can’t tell you how much it means to me. So many of you have been so supportive, from Alicia, to Stacie to Denene and Desiree Miller and Jennifer Hutchenson and so many others, you have opened your arms, answered questions, given me guidance and showed your support. While lots of people have the “I got mine” attitude, you showed how successful you truly are by not being afraid to Pay it Forward and Giving Back. The GSMM is an awesome group and without it I don’t think I would have come in contact in the way I have with the Tylers (Thanks you Stacie). Lamar and Ronnie you have shone your light on me and the work I do and now it will illuminate Metro Atlanta. Thank you so very much. This is remarkable! ~Kia
