If you watched the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight this past weekend, you probably saw Jamie Foxx open up with the National Anthem. It seems his version of this song brought just as much controversy as the fight-less fight! Foxx, seemed to take a beating on social media for saying Hallelujah at the end of the song. Personally, I think it was a cool touch and he didn’t sound that bad, but please judge for your self.

I thought it was excellent, not over done, vintage Jaime. And why not hallelujah? It’s the highest praise Unto God and giving the magnitude of the event, being honored to have been asked to sing the national anthem and grateful to have made it through it. Well done.
