How many of you married your high school sweetheart like Aretha Franklin (not the singer!) and her new husband, James Emanuel? The two have been inseparable since high school, and finally got hitched in a beautiful New York ceremony worthy of royalty.
Of planning their big day, Aretha says:
“This is a bit cliche, but every single part of our wedding day was super exciting! To finally marry the man of my dreams in front of so many of our loved ones was an experience we will never, ever forget. We all had such a good time. Heck, we already felt as though we were married; it was just a matter of throwing a big party in celebration of that.”
Check out the beautiful slideshow of their big day and visit Munaluchi Bridal for more photos (including engagement pics!) of this gorgeous couple.

I was in 10th grade and my husband was in the 12th when we started dating. 4yrs later we were married and have been together every since. This June we celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. Black love is beautiful and it does still exist. Congrats to Aretha and James, and may you share a lifetime of happiness together!

I was not thinking about marrying anybody in high school or college. I did think I would be married by now but def. knew I didn’t want to be married before 30. Congrats to the couple.
