Music lovers – this is the festival you must attend! If you are looking for a perfect gift for your honey bunny to celebrate your upcoming wedding anniversary or a great weekend getaway, look no further.
The sixth annual “˜Jazz in the Gardens’ music festival is just what the doctor ordered. The festival has played host to popular musicians such as Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke, Wyclef, KEM and John Legend. This years’ lineup does not disappoint and it will be hosted by the bad boy of radio himself, Michael Baisden.
The party starts on Saturday March 19th when Charlie Wilson, Al Jarreau, Lalah Hathaway and Heads of State take to the main stage. “˜Heads of State’ is a new group consisting of New Edition members Johnny Gill, Ralph Tresvant and “....Bobby Brown, the “King of R&B.” (Forgive me, I couldn’t resist. LOL) Fans of the Fugees will be happy to know that the one and only Lauryn Hill will take to the stage for an unforgettable performance.
The celebration of music don’t stop there”...Sunday night the Isley Brothers featuring Ron and Ernest Isley, the legendary Gladys Knight and Brandford Marsalis grace the stage. Ladies and Gentlemen, Sunday night also includes performances by one of our favorite girl groups from the 90s, the recently reunited En Vogue and”...El Debarge! Yes, El Debarge will mesmerize us with renditions of past hits from his days with Debarge and favorites from his current CD.
