Karyn is back on the dating scene. Divorced. Kids are grown…in college. She spent all her 20s —30s — and half her 40s raising them. Now in her late 40s, she’s on that health-food kick. She’s lost a couple of lbs. And now guys are hawking.
Karyn currently falls into a station in life where a lot of women have passed through…or will pass through sooner or later. They had children in their 20s (either through marriage or as a single parent), got divorced, and raised their children as single mothers through their 30’s and 40’s.
In the beginning, it was a struggle – financially and relationally. But now, these women are further along in their careers. They’re making good money. The situation with their children’s father has normalized. And they’re making the tough transition from raising their kids to parenting them.
My conversation with Karyn on the subway after work was very interesting. She was telling me what she wanted in this stage of her life. But for her…and for many other women, it’s difficult and confusing navigating these relational waters. Here are 10 dating tips Karyn – and women like her – need to consider as they broach the dating scene as a grown black woman.

I read all the tips were very good I definitely need to remember tip #3, be a good listner as well, and being independent for so long you can forget about the man’s ego.

Definitely! I agree with this. If you want to go out dating but you’re afraid because of your son or daughter. Why not talk to them and ask for permission if they would agree or not to it. My best friend also had this kind of situation. Thumbs up!

I have been surfing online reater thjan 3 hours as of late, yet I by no means discovered any
interesting article like yours. It is pretty price sufficient for me.
Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you
probably did, thhe net will likely be a lot more useful than ever before.
