With divorce rates and out-of-wedlock birthrates being so high, most Americans today will find themselves in some type of step/blended family situation. People who marry a person that already has children are often blind-sided by the difficulties and challenges of blended family life. And they often find themselves desperately looking for help or a way out.
The bad news is that over 60% of blended families end in divorce. The good news is that there are so many people and organizations out there that provide support for blended families.
This week is blended families week on BMWK! And we will be sharing with you some of our favorite blended family resources: books, websites, and yes even twitter accounts.

I am a newly wed and my husband and I have a blended family. My husband has 2 children (ages 3 & 5) , I have 1 daughter (age 4) and we recently have a 5 month old together. I turn to this blog daily for advice and help… this is not easy. We refuse to be part of the statistic of 60% of blended families ending in divorce. Please pray for us, we know we can not do this without God. I was very eager to read this article and thank you for the resources for us to refer to for help and guidance.
