Here’s the skinny. A Black man drives to mom’s house at 11pm with out of town plates and does the unthinkable. He “makes direct eye contact” with a white police officer. Yes he did. The officer follows him for a couple of miles then pulls him over and issues a warning for basically signaling too late before turning. But the reason the officer gave for following him in the first place was that this man, John Felton, “made direct eye contact.”
So, these days, given the definite tension between law enforcement and the African American community, which has, of course, spawned the #blacklivesmatter movement along with a defiance against the police that may eventually rival the heyday of the Civil Rights movement, there are still police actions that are warranted and those that leave us befuddled. Check out the below video of the interaction and let us know where this situation falls. Is it harassment or just one officer trying to do his job?
This is why I hate coming to Dayton. #DaytonPolice trailed me for almost 2 miles before pulling me over in front of my mom crib. He had no grounds for following/trailing me other than seeing an Infiniti with Michigan plates. His reason? “I gave him direct eye contact while passing him.” What kind of shit is that? #DaytonPolice this cop needs to be on desk duty. Fake ass white collar thugs eager to meet their quota.

Too much racial tension in American…land of the free, home of the brave, huh?

That was a very arrogant police officer. He was fixated on harassing the driver and to stalk the driver for 2 miles because he made direct eye contact is also an excuse, that officer was purposely being intimidating and abusing his authority. Disgusting!!!!
