Buying a new home is stressful. It’s cumbersome, nerve-racking and it can also be a giant headache. But once you’ve found your ideal home, it can also be thrilling.
This San Antonio couple was likely experiencing the same emotions. And as they neared closer to closing on their new home, they were probably feeling more excitement than anything. That is until they read a clause in their title documents.
The interracial couple were admittedly shocked when they read this in the deed restrictions:
“No lot, site, structure or dwelling, with the exception of bona fide domestic servant’s quarters shall be used or occupied by any person, or persons, other than members of the Caucasian race.”
