Facebook makes changes to its site about every five minutes and with some of the latest changes, you might be missing some of the news and updates from your favorite Pages (like us!). We have more than 100,000 fans on Facebook but because of Facebook’s recent changes less than 10% of you actually see our status updates when we post to our page now. That’s a major problem because we love the interaction and dialogue that we’ve been able to build over the past few years. We want to make sure you keep up with everything we post and keep our community growing. There’s a few things you can do to make sure you don’t miss out on our Facebook updates, which we know is a main way many of you access our content.
1) Be sure to interact with our content. If you see an article or video we post, even if you don’t want to read it or watch it right that second, take a minute to “like” it or leave a quick comment. Facebook uses an algorithm to determine what posts and updates show up in your news feed and the pages that you interact with frequently tend to rise to the top.
2) Get us in the your news feed. Go to our Happily Ever After page, hover over the “Like” button, and click “Show In News Feed” in the drop-down menu. This will also help ensure that our posts hit your front page and you don’t have to go searching for us.
3) You can also group all the marriage and relationship pages you follow into a single list, to get all your news and tips in one space. Think of it as a more focused news feed. Go to our Happily Ever After page, hover over the “Like” button and click “New list” (if you don’t already have a list created). Now our posts (and whatever other pages you decide to put in that category) will show up on your home page, in the left column under “Interests.”
We appreciate you taking the time to grow with us and keep up with everything we’re doing.
