Over the last year we have seen Tina, lead singer of Mary Mary, share her story through reality TV. We have seen her and Teddy rebound and the love is so apparent. Teddy and Tina have done massive work in the last year on their relationship and have refocused their entire worlds. Teddy shared on Instagram a picture of him and Tina after she preached her first sermon, We Shall Overcome Today! We already know that Tina has a word to deliver, and wonder if this will be permanent.
Good for them. They are a couple who are doing the work to fight for their love and marriage. They are applying the following 4 principles:
- Change your mind, change your marriage. How couples think and what they believe about their spouse affects how they perceive the other. What they expect and how they treat their spouse matters greatly.
- The grass is greenest where you water it. Successful couples have learned to resist the grass is greener myth – i.e. someone else will make me happy. They have learned to put their energy into making themselves and their marriage better.
I’m so happy Tina and Teddy worked out and continue to work on their marriage for their family. She could have left, but she prayed, forgave, and didn’t let outside influence determine her decision to stay. That’s real love and commitment 🙂
Agreed. So happy that they’re working on their marriage. I sure hope that their lives playing out on TV was the truth and wasn’t just a means of moving on to “bigger & better”. Letting the cameras in on your most intimate moments??? Personally could not do it no matter what the cost.
