It seems like every day, there is a new story about the police acting like they are above the law and normal everyday rules don’t apply to them. It’s no different in this story about a NYPD police officer who is accused of stealing a deceased man’s credit card to purchase $3,200 diamond ring.
Last July, Officer Ymmacula Pierre went to perform a wellness check up on the 65 year old victim and unfortunately found him dead. The officer did notify the victim’s family and documented most of his belongings, which is standard procedure.
Things went left when two days later, when Officer Pierre used the deceased mans’s credit card to purchase a $3,200 ring. The purchase was flagged as possible credit card fraud and the victim’s family was notified.
Officer Pierre pleaded not guilty and was released after being charged with criminal possession of stolen property, identity theft, attempted grand larceny and official misconduct.
BMWK, Do you think she will really get any jail time over this?
