The View star (and #marriagechat supporter!) Sherri Shepherd is planning to marry the love of her life, Lamar Sal, in a beautiful wedding in the Windy City. If you follow her on Twitter (@SherriEShepherd), then you’ve been following along as she tweets about her trip to the altar.
How did the two hook up? They were introduced by Sherri’s best friend, Niecy Nash, who just had her own wedding a few months back!
The pair got engaged right after Christmas last year:
“Upon arriving back to Lamar’s home in Los Angeles from a trip to San Diego, Sherri was surprised to find their accommodations had been decorated with lights by one of Sal’s best friends, her dog was wearing a Santa beard and hat, and, in the middle of a dish of Sherri’s favorite but forbidden M&M’s (she is diabetic), was a tiny little box. Before the proposal could officially proceed, Sal had to get permission from one special man””Sherri’s son Jeffrey. The 5-year-old was not above a bribe, which came from Sal in the form of Michael Jackson’s Wii game. That guaranteed immediate approval from Jeffrey. With that, Sal took a knee and popped the question.”
Her wedding will be chronicled on the Style Network, September 13, on the reality show special, Wedding Fabulous: Sherri Shepherd Get Married.
Congratulations, Sherri!
