11-year-old Demias Jimerson is a beast when it comes to the football field. Coaches say that he scores nearly every time he touches the ball. As a result, the school has implemented a rule that Demias is not allowed to score if his team is up by 2 TDs. Check out the video to see how he feels about it:
BMWK family, what would you say if it was your child? Is it fair?

Pathetic. To quote Warren G. Bennis, university professor and founding chairman of the Leadership Institute at the
University of Southern California, “Excellence is a better teacher than mediocrity. The lessons of
the ordinary are everywhere. Truly profound and original insights are to be
found only in studying the exemplary.”
This is “leveling the playing field” gone wild.

@Ezraguard…I totally agree. They should not discourage this baby from doing his Best. This is going to dwarf him emotionally and probably leave him with a complex.

I do not believe they are promoting this young brother to be neither mediocre or preventing him from doing his best. Just as there are lessons to be learn when one excels, adverse situations also serve as an wonderful instructor. But maybe Madre Hill, career as a NFL player was way below subpar because they didn’t allow him to score touchdown at will in 5th and 6th grade.

Man, what idiot made up this rule to make their non-achieving kids feel better?
Don’t get mad that this child is able to excel. Put him in a more competitive league or let kids realize that as in all things in life, you have to work on whatever it is you want to excel in. GTFOH this is ridiculous.

How crazy is this story?

What a way to ” Discourage” a Young mind, however, I like his philosophy, God, Grades, and Football, he’ll be okay!
Bridgette Howard says
i understand the point…you want all of the other children to have time with the ball and to grow as players.
but to intentionally hold a child back seems unfair to that little one. i commend his administration for not benching him after making his 2 TD limit, he’s still able to contribute to the victory of his team. he seems to have a great attitude, pleasant demeanor and his priorities balanced. his parents have done an awsome job raising him!!!

Listening to the video that young man seems very intelligent n has his head in the right spot, God, his studies n then footbal… I like that!! N i guess it’s okay that they have him sit dwn after he scores a few n let the other kids play a lil more, but at the same time this kid has a talent that needs to be met BIG TIME!
