I usually don’t respond to blogs, but I just couldn’t resist responding to Agape’s comment. I only have one simple question, (and I’m single): Agape, do you really think this was a deep comment? I don’t know you nor have ever met you, but just reading your post gives us a glimpse of your insight and intellect. Yes, we do have Holy Ghost filled musicians, who write inspiring and uplifting music. However, I don’t think it’s fair to limit who God can use, and how God can use any of us to fulfill his will. So, all I would say to you is, not to put limits on the Holy, and allow the Holy to permeate every facet of all of our being. Be blessed and fulfill the name, “Agape”! 😉

This was beyond beautiful!!! God is moving in families and everyone, especially married couples, should be an example for our youth. Did you know that when you are able to dance together, one leading and the other following, means that there is organization and unity in the marriage. Only one person can lead and the other has to be willing to compromise and follow so that the dance displays the real LOVE that is evident in the steps. The steps of a righteous man/woman are ordered by the Lord.
All these negative comments are from haters. Ignore them. There is nothing like jealousy, envy and strife to rear it’s ugly head when God tries to shine light on the areas of our lives that need it the most. Without married folk, there would be no concept of team work or a Godly display of love between a man and a woman.
This is such a touching example of how the Lord ordained marriage. And to see it in motion was simple breathtaking!!! We are often depicted as one parent households with deadbeat spouses that are nowhere to be found. However, there is another side to us. And you’ve just witnessed it. I’m so blessed to say that I have a love like that. 40 years if the Lord allows us to see Feb 2011. Lord Thank you for your awesome blessings!!!
Wow the ignorance and placement of judgement of some folks never ceases to amaze. Stop judging and reading things into something that’s not there. Black love is beautiful. If your jealous or hating then don’t watch it. Stop being ignorant and acting like you live in a glass house. For those of you that think the song is inappropriate, do you personally know Babyface, the intentions of this song, or of his relationship with his God. This is why people have stopped going to church because of some of you ignant (yes ignant), hypocrytical church people. I bet you are the ones that go to church on Sunday and curse people out in the parking lot on Monday. Sit down and shutty uppy!!! Get a life. Black on black hatred, will it ever end. I really enjoyed watching this. What I liked, even more than the dance, was watching each husband look at his wife like she was the only woman on the planet who mattered to him.
I am married. Have been for 38 years. The dance was very moving and deep. If God can use a jackass why not Babyface? The Holy Ghost is the Holy Ghost. He moves when ever, where ever, and to whom ever he chooses.
For real i knew this could happen productive brothers and sisters coming together for god, Love , family. BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL my day will come when my father sends me a good man.

I thought that the dance was beautiful but no place for a worship service. And……..if you notice, it says “dance ministry” not praise dance ministry. I think the church should be about praising God. When I saw that video, all I could see was night club.. From the ladies, short, fitting dresses to their high heels and the men’s temptations moves. Maybe I’m just old school but I do think this was a little over the top! If this is contemporary praise, then count me out!
I really don’t think this has anything to do with Babyface but I do wonder what is the purpose of gathering for worship? Do you think this has anything to do with praising God? I think the dance was beautiful for some type of marriage seminar at an off=site location but it ain’t got nothing to do with serving God. That’s just my opinion. Like I said earlier, lights down low, short fitting dresssing, high heels, it just takes me back to my night club days at the Big Wheel Club. And I think that’s okay if that’s where they wanna be but this has nothing to do with praise and worhsiping God.
What’s more painful than the lack of dance skill in this video (sorry, I’m a dancer, I couldn’t help notice – lol) is the HORRIBLE reactions that some of you have had to those who disagree with the venue or music or style of dress showcased in the video.
Just because people have different beliefs about the purpose of the Church gathering, does not make them judgmental, unintelligent, frigid, longingly single, too religious, a Pharisee, unhappy, dried up, a demon, or old-fashioned. It could mean that they are the last remnant of the voices crying for Holiness – and you, dear angry, mean, offended people are actually standing against that… Your comments indicate a HUGE lack of the same love you claim to celebrate in this video. Let’s go back to some other BMWK articles about how to disagree with our spouses and apply that here.
I’m a HUGE fan of marriage, and of Black marriage, and of Christian marriage. But that doesn’t mean that I have to AGREE that everything positive about Black Christian marriages should be showcased at all times. There is an appropriate time and place for everything, but since I was not there when they performed I cannot comment on it either.
It is correct that you can’t please everybody, but the only “person” any of us should be trying to please is God.
Ask yourself did your reaction to those who disapproved of this video please Him.

I doubt this beautiful expression of love between God created unions was meant to be a showcase of dance expertise to those who were in attendance-dancer or not. God is Love, and took and entire book of the Bible to celebrate love that is in it’s time and place and when it pleases. That “pleases” means God has put His stamp of approval on it. Please refer to the Song of Solomon or Song of Songs in the Old Testament. That book is all about man/woman love and I suggest any reader have in close proximity a huge glass of very cold sweet tea and a hand fan! LOL I’ll not attempt to discuss religious views here any more than I already have, but can’t help but see and feel the love, admiration, devotion, and covering that is evident in this celebration of marriage and friendship between a man and wife. Nothing more, nothing less…

God is an Awesome God, you could just feel the love in their every move. All churches need ministries like this. If you’ve ever danced in the club then you know exactly what am talking about. Trinity keep doing what you’re doing.

There is obviously and overwhelming response to this video I recieved from a friend on facebook. However, we should be very careful how we promote this event. Its is being promoted as pro-black and not pro-Jesus. Satan is sutble and can easily enter your life with hidden prejudices. I know that your are probably saying that your are not predujice. But if you think that African Americans should only marry each other then that is Satan. You know thats what white people have been saying for years, to keep us from detroying their race. The lords people have no color and are filled with the spirit. It is better to be happy in christ with another race than to live with or marry a sinner of the same race. A real Christian would know this. Sin is an illusion we create for our selves that manifest itself into the pains and hardships we have to overcome or eventually lose ourselves altogether with Satan. Any two people with god in there lives can and should come together in matrimony. Period.

I just wanted to post the lyrics…I had to go back and listen to the song and read the lyrics myself because the way the comments were going it was seeming like this was a demonic song or something. Read the lyrics…this is exactly how I feel about my husband and Babyface was the one who put it into a song. We do not have a heaven or a hell to put this artist in….instead of focusing on the person who wrote/produced/sang the song why not hone in on the lyrics….because that’s what it’s all about.
