I’ve had my share of ups and downs in life, and there is one thing I have become pretty certain of; life isn’t complicated, people complicate life. Managing our most valued relationships is not that difficult if we shift our thinking. From great parenting to making our marriages a success, implementing the simplest changes can make all the difference.
We often hear people talk about how marriage is hard work, and I agree with that. I can’t, for one minute, say that marriage is easy. But I also don’t think hard means complicated. I think a tough workout is hard work, but there is nothing complicated about it. It’s just a matter of whether or not I am willing to put in the work.
The simplest things can make the biggest difference in life. After all, it’s the little things that matter, right? When our marriages are not what we want them to be, we tend to focus on placing our finger on a huge problem. But what if there is no huge problem? What if the unhappiness we feel in our marriage is a result of all the little things we aren’t doing?
