Over on my blog, I (Tara, managing editor of BMWK) declared 2012 to be the year that I would help other mothers become more self-sufficient and financially independent. Who doesn’t want to make a little bit of extra cash, right?
One of the ways we’re building together is through the publication of multiple ebooks. The set-up? Several moms contribute their stories to the book, we split the profits, and families are transformed one by one.
The first book, This Is How We Do It: A Survival Guide For Busy Moms, just hit the net this week. The moms who wrote in this book really left it all on the page. They discussed their bout with postpartum depression, being a homeschooling mom of five, about juggling medical school and a toddler, about being a young mom in the 1980s (read: no Internet and no mommy blogs), and much, much more.
We’re asking you at BMWK to support the book so you can help moms who are helping themselves. Instead of being scared about the lingering recession, we’re using our voice to provide for our families.
To celebrate the launch of the ebook, we’ll be having a #SurvivalGuideBook Twitter party on TONIGHT, January 5 at 8 p.m. Join us on TweetChat for an hour of tips and tricks. It’s a great way to start off 2012, right?
Get your copy of the book here and if you liked it, please leave a review!

I got the book and read it last night. I enjoyed the stories and could relate especially to the one about wearing the same clothes over and over while the rest of the family looks like they’ve been at a photo shoot LOL
Very enjoyable and I look forward to the next one.
